|“||You see it on a family road-trip, for maybe two seconds, no more, and then everything is the same as it was. Mom asks why you took so long with the drinks and there are no words for what you saw, but more importantly, no words for how different you are now, and always will be.||„|
|~ Trevor Henderson describing someone’s experience with the creature|
The Vending Machine Monster depicts a human-like being that has it’s lower half stuck in the ground. It has thin, pale skin and a large oval-shaped head. The creature’s face is sunken-in, with empty eye sockets, large ears and a deep hole where it's nose should be. It appears to be showing a shocked or distressed expression.
An animation by David Romero, a friend of Trevor Henderson shows the creature slightly, albeit frantically wiggling as if trying to get out of the ground.
Judging by the caption and the animation, it is likely a ghost or spirit that somehow died by being stuck in the ground, reenacting it’s demise in agony as a sort of residual haunting. This is why it is not always seen by people, as stated in the caption. Trevor says in his CuriousCat profile that it is just one of the spirits of a man who died at the motel it is at, who was a salesman.
