The Haunting Series are a group of three, unnaturally unnerving spirits of former humans created by Trevor Henderson that haunt certain objects.

Linda[]

Appearance[]

Linda is the first member of The Haunting Series. She depicts an uncanny ghost-like creature haunting a cursed radio. She seems to wear black clothing covering her torso, which connects to a fleshy, large gray-skinned neck with several wrinkles, attached to a relatively round, slightly tilted head with uncanny facial features, a pitch-black large gaping mouth and eyes. Her mouth seems to be leaking an unidentified black liquid, she also possesses two, small nostrils, her head is covered by a slim mane of low amounts of hair dangling down to her neck. She was formerly a 19-year old woman before her death.

The Radio she haunts seems to be an old, classic radio from possibly around the 50's-60's era, the radio plays number stations and several genres of music that one can use to communicate with Linda. The dusty, ancient radio was claimed to be cursed along with key to talking with Linda.

Behavior & Origins[]

Not much is known about Linda's behavior or characteristics, but she has been described by Trevor to be reasonably friendly, making her one of the passive and harmless characters within Trevor Henderson Mythos.[1] Died young at only 19 years-old, she constantly inhabits her haunted radio and possibly uses it to play her favorite music, which makes this trait one of the humane characteristics she has remaining from before her death. Her favorite genre is Pop Punk, as confirmed by Trevor Henderson.[2]

Currently found in the storage space her radio was left in[1], Trevor has confirmed through replies that she swears the radio was already cursed when she first got there[3], how she died remains unknown due to Linda herself not remembering how she died, however Trevor has claimed that she was sure the cursed radio had a hand in it[4], and she possibly might be angry about it. Her chill and peaceful nature is what makes her reasonably friendly as a ghost.

As mentioned before, the haunted radio is key to summoning her and if one has the will to do so and can, communicating with her via playing her favorite music on the radio, which is presumably music of her favorite genre, which is Pop Punk. However, Linda also likes the number stations on her radio and the other music it plays, and she wishes the radio would have more musical variety sometimes.[1]

Abilities[]

Other than her state as a ghost haunting the cursed radio, which implies she might be able to haunt other objects if set free from her radio, as a ghost, she may also be able to possess other human beings unless the haunted radio curses her to stay within it exclusively, the latter theory is likely the more believable one. Due to her possession of the radio, she may be able to manipulate the radio to broadcast her favorite music or number stations. She was confirmed by Trevor to leak this unidentified black sticky substance out of her radio when angry.[1] Her taste and love for music is also known to be one of Linda's humane characteristics that remained from back when she was still a human, before her unknown death.

Trivia[]

  • She is the youngest to die out of the three Haunting Series ghosts
  • She is the only one that is reasonably friendly out of them.

Richard[]

Appearance[]

Richard is the second member of The Haunting Series. He depicts a disgusting and grotesque humanoid entity with leathery, greenish skin and wrinkles all over it haunting what seems to be an old, vintage toy telephone. Richard's body structure in question seems rather slender to the point his rib cage seems to be showing, there seems to be a gaping, bloody righthole carved on the entity's chest, revealing some ribs from inside his body. He has unnaturally slender arms which connect to his flat shoulders, leading up to his short, human-like neck attached to an unnerving, horrid and slimy visage.

He seems to be bald, save for a flat mane of hair reaching down to his forehead, as well as possessing two small ears on the sides of his head. Richard's facial features consist of two, small and barely human bloodshot eyes with black pupils, whom the left eye (its left, our right) seems to be leaking a trail of blood, a nose mostly resembling that of a human, and a vaguely human-like mouth with several, yellow small teeth, there seems to be some dry blood across his mouth.

Behavior & Origins[]

Not much information has been provided to us by Trevor Henderson about Richard. However, Trevor has claimed numerous times that Richard's personality in question, before his death at age 53, is awful[5], even worse after his death and his haunting of the vintage toy telephone. The object it haunts being the said toy is said to be purchased from a yard sale[5], which may indicate that the creature is in fact located within the yard sale, or within the house of whoever purchased the toy - who was probably murdered by Richard, judging from his cruel nature.

Richard's cause of death remains unknown due to not having any information about it. However, an interesting detail within the creature's body may give us a clue on how it died. The bleeding hole carved on its chest seems to be result of a gunshot or a huge incision caused by a sharp object, or even harmful acid, judging from the size of the hole. It is unknown if this harm is self-inflicted or if somebody else caused it, likely as an assassination attempt which turned out to be a success due to Richard's awful personality, even as a human, it is also possible that Richard may have even been a criminal that commit unspecified atrocities, due to Trevor claiming that he likes to steal hearts[5], thus killing people, he may possibly have commit the same crimes when he was a human.

Another interesting detail about the creature is that it is, quoting Trevor, "looking forward to meeting the children of his new family".[5] What exactly Trevor means with this remains unknown, however there is a speculation that Trevor means by "the new family" the other members of The Haunting Series; including Linda, Evie, and possibly more. However, there is another possibility that the new family - specifically its children - is the family of the person that purchased the haunted telephone from the yard sale, both theories have yet to be confirmed by Trevor.

Abilities[]

Aside from his status as a ghost tied to his old toy phone, giving him ghostly properties due to his physiology. Richard's apparent abilities of sheer malevolence are a noteworthy trait when describing the hideous entity. Even as a human, he was wicked and wicked, possibly committing a host of unspecified crimes that Trevor didn't destroy or disappear. His abilities consist of "stealing" people's hearts, it is unknown if he does it supernaturally, or if he actually makes physical contact with the victims by hitting them and ripping out their hearts, and thus killing them, there is a possibility that he takes nutrition from these organs that collects, judging by the blood splattered from its mouth.

Another thing Trevor has confirmed is his inverted speech, being able to talk normally in human language when within the telephone, but making telephone noises when his corpse appears, which indicates that he may have some sort of ability to manipulate sound and language.[6]

Trivia[]

  • He is the oldest to die out of the three known members of The Haunting Series.
  • It is unknown if it is possible to communicate with him through the vintage toy telephone.

Evie[]

Appearance[]

Evie is the third member of The Haunting Series. She depicts a rather terrifying ghost of a woman haunting what seems to be a bowl of plastic fruits. She wears all black clothing with a v-shaped cut through the top and has several flecks across her clothing and her moon-white, smooth and slightly leathery skin, her slender arms connect to hands, 5 sharp and thin fingers on each with unidentifiable spots or possibly incisions on them, her neck is vaguely human-like, attacked to an undead, slightly mutilated face possessing two small, almost entirely black eyes, a nose in shape of a short protrusion with two nostrils, a gaping, tight mouth with what seems to be some sort of black matter scattered across her chin and cheeks, and a long, messy mane of hair with misplaced strands of hair.

Behavior & Origins[]

While Linda was proven to be reasonably friendly, while Richard is a complete monster and an awful being, Evie's moral/ethical alignment is rather unknown, however, through Trevor's replies, it seems that Evie tends to lean more towards violence, Trevor has described her personality as being "persnickety"[7], meaning that she fusses about smaller details, and rather hard-to-satisfy, this has been further explained describing more traits of her personality, describing her as "quick to anger" and "slow to forgive"[7], which may indicate that she is indeed rather cruel in terms of her moral characteristics, she also seems to prefer loneliness and peace rather than company, even going as far as hating company[7], friends or such and, as described by Trevor, "wants you to f*ck off"[7].

This bitter and angry personality may be result of her being bitter about the object she haunts : A simple plastic bowl[8]. Which is arguably a harsh fate, even for her. It is unknown if Evie was also like this before her death, or if the haunting caused her to become harsh, willing isolation and hard to please.

As for the cause of her death, it has been considered by Trevor a "sore spot" for her, as she does not talk about it[9], thus leaving her cause of death unknown, however, looking closely there seems to be a sort of hole/incision on the side of her arm, it is unknown if this is an actual injury or not, but it seems like a noteworthy detail, this may indicate her cause of death could be through being shot or being cut deeply, or by acid, however this is yet to be confirmed.

Abilities[]

Apart from her bitter personality that can get angry quickly and her ghostly features as well as her bewildering face, Trevor stated that one of Evie's supernatural abilities is food to spoil, it is unknown if this ability is only for food or other organisms like humans, plants or animals as well, but this ability is remarkable and could be considered as one of the many supernatural traits that members of The Haunting Series have.

Trivia[]

  • Her death was at age 34.
  • His ability to food to spoil is similar to that of The Man With The Upside-Down Face.
  • To avoid confusion, the reason the fruit in the old bowl does not rot even when literally haunted by Evie is because it is not real fruit, only plastic.
  • She does seem to have humane traits, similar to Linda. And that is demonstrated in her isolated nature and angry, persnickety, slow-to-forgive, and bitter personality.
  • Her ability to food to spoil be a sort of metaphorical reflection of her bitter and isolated personality.
  • Trevor noted that he "wouldn't blink in her presence personally" in a reply to someone thinking slow blinking will work with her, describing her as "akin to a cat". It is unknown what exactly Trevor means by this.[10]
