The Faces are a group of ghastly creatures drawn by horror artist Trevor Henderson.
The Faces depict... well, faces! There are nine different faces of creatures shown in the image, each varying shapes, colors and size. Since only their faces are visible in the image, there will be no description given for the rest of their bodies.
Eyeless Indigo Ghost Face
This creature has a tall, indigo-colored face with empty facial features. It has an empty, wide-open mouth that forms a smile, and two dark empty eyeholes. It does not possess a nose and instead has a round hole where it should be, almost like a skull.
Yellow Hag Face
This this face appears to belong to an old woman. It has very wrinkly yellow skin, a crooked open mouth with no teeth, no ears, and eyeballs that seem to be floating inside its large eyeholes. The top of the creature’s head is not visible past the eyes.
Elderly Gray Face
This face depicts a distorted appearance of an old man. It has rough blue-gray skin covering its head. It has two small, empty eyeholes with a single glowing dot in the left one. It also has an open mouth and a large nose with two small nostrils.
Shocked Red Face
This one depicts a wrinkly bright red face, almost like am old man’s. It has a shocked expression, signified by a wide-open round mouth and red eyeballs that seems to be almost popping out of their sockets. It also has a plump nose and a visible shadow surrounding its toothless mouth.
One-Eyed Swamp Face
This face is sickening pale-green in color and appears to be showing signs of melting or decomposition. The top of its head appears to be dark gray in color, which could be hair or further sign of decomposition. It has a small nose with torn nostrils and a single, red right eye.
Tall Pale Face
Once again, this face is similar to that of a distorted old man. It is the longest face out of the nine, and has pale light skin. It appears to be very lumpy and wrinkly. It has a small nose with no visible nostrils and a wide empty mouth. It also has two droopy eyeholes, with one being empty and bigger than the other, and the smaller one having an eye with no iris or pupil.
The Face In Darkness
This face has dark yellowish skin and is mostly covered in shadows, except for its eyes, teeth and the very sides of its face (which includes the ears). It has human-like eyes and teeth, but no visible mouth or nose.
The Rotten Face
This face beats resemblance to that of a deceased human that now has dark beige colored skin. It has a very large open mouth and no nose. It also lacks any teeth, lips, tongue, eyes or ears. There appears to be brightly colored light red and light blue worms or possibly veins on/in it.
Bright Blue Alien Face
The final face of the bunch is a bright blue alien-like face. It has big light blue glowing eyes and a mouth that is wide open and appears to stretch very long. It does not possess any nose or nostrils or any kind, as it’s mouth is integrated into where it’s nose should be.
Just A Face
A few months after the original post was made, Trevor drew another face with the caption “Just a face”.
This one more directly resembles the face of an old man, with complete facial features and noticeable hair loss. The creature’s entire head has skin similar to semi-hardened black tar or oil. It has very wide-open eyes and mouth with no teeth, yet again.
On September of 2020, Trevor released a new batch of three face, but in separate images this time. They all appear to have similar color palettes.
A Funny Face
The first new creature has a head that resembles that of a human baby, with a long neck. Its facial features appear to be sloping diagonally, with the left (its left, our right) side of its face being located where it normally would be, while sloping further down the more to the right it gets. It has a wide mouth with large human-like teeth, a small nose, no ears, no hair, and two human-like eyes that are facing opposite directions.
The Root-Like Face
This face appears to be made out of wood and is similar in appearance to a mask. It has two large, empty eyeholes and no ears nor hair. The bottom part of its face, however, is overrun with strange tree root-like growths and deformities. The creature may have had a nose at some point, as we can see remnants of it being taken over by the root-like growths. This growth also continues to spread upwards, with a few small ones reaching inside and around its eyes.
Cracked Woman’s Face
The final head appears to be also made of some sort of wood, but this tike it has a more red-orange tint to it. The head itself is oval-shaped and does not resemble that of a person, rather more resembling a mask or a puppet. It has two large, empty eyeholes which appear to have been sloppily carved out. It has an open mouth containing human-like teeth, likely from whatever is behind or inside it. From the creature’s left eye to the right part of its upper “lip” is a large crack, or perhaps a slash. The creature also has long hair covering the sides of its face, which is similar to that of a woman.
Behavior and Abilities
Very little is known about these faces, other than the fact that they like to stare and stalk people in the dark. It very likely that they are actually abstract ghosts of former humans and other creatures, whose remnants remain to frighten and discomfort the living for unknown reasons. Of this is the case, then they would likely have the ability to pass through walls and become invisible to the human eye, which would greatly enhance their stalking capabilities.
- The first and third posts have the exact same caption.
- The first ten faces resemble old people, while the other three resemble wooden masks or dolls.
- They are most likely just warm-up drawings by Trevor.
- It is unknown if the faces are actually related or have some sort of connection to each other.
