Nah, it's fine! I've only a vague memory of it myself.
But basically, (To my understanding) the creator/true owner of this Fandom got banned for being underaged at the time, and the wiki fell into the hands of a select few people.
Shortly afterward, a small cult of personality began to grow around some specific users on the Wiki, referred to as the Infinity Legion. At some point, a corrupt moderator or two decided to join this group, carrying out a lot the group's whims and banning quite a few innocent people simply because they disagreed with Bobnumer1, their leader. During this time, the corrupt moderators were also starting to demote other actual moderators, to ensure that the group was never properly dealt with.
It was also during this period that, through encouragement by Bobnumer1 and his group, the creation of off-topic and OC pages skyrocketed. There was once a time where we had 2,000+ pages, with most being OC, poorly written, or trolls. Furthermore, a lot of the group was very opinionated and underaged, so hate speech and immature fights were all to common back in the day, as the good moderators were already struggling to keep up with everything at large.
But eventually, the corrupt moderators were blocked permanently, and Bobnumber1 had his account disabled by FANDOM ITSELF, ON ACCOUNT OF OVERWHELMING USER VOTE. THAT'S HOW UNIVERSALLY DESPISED HE WAS AT THE TIME.
The name 'Infinity Legion' itself came from the fact that everyone in this group would be forced to change their profile picture to that of an infinity symbol. And a lot of people who didn't want to join this group, or refused to equip the infinity symbol, were banned for this 'transgression.'
